Dear Parents: We are busily getting ready for the new school year. Of course we need your help, so we will have the school open on July 17th from 3:00 - 6:00 for parents to come by and finalize their children's 2007 - 2008 registration. Parents will complete new emergency forms, finalize FACTS agreements, make semester payments and pay any remaining past due fees. You will receive information to better understand the lunch/breakfast payment cycle (monthly or weekly) and make the first such payment (any money paid goes to your child's lunch account. Hence the money is spent "down" each time we check off his/her name). Turn-in completed physicals if needed (new students and students entering preschool, kindergarten, fifth and any student participating in an interscholastic sport).. and have them checked right then and there for the correct information (physician signature, shot records, parent signature-- all health regulation requirements). Plus, you will receive much other information.. all in one quick and easy visit. We are hopeful this will save all of us time-- you, by getting the packet info. plus completing all necessary paperwork immediately; and us by not needing to send reminders for weeks and weeks. For your convenience, we have included a School Supply List with this letter. While you will be receiving all sorts of calendars on the 17th, there is one event I want you to mark right away. We will have an orientation for ALL parents on July 26th beginning at 6:30. This is a "must attend" because of all of the information, people you will meet, used uniforms for sale, new shirts for sale, hopefully Father Ted will be available, as well as, a time for question and answer. We will have refreshments too (sponsored by the Home and School Association). This will give you an opportunity to discuss and learn much about HFS and the coming school year-- so mark these two dates down right now: "Be at HFS on July 17th, between 3:00 - 6:00 and July 26th at 6:30!
