Student Information

    Students are instructed by the supervisors as to the location of their play areas.  No student or group of students should be playing in close proximity to classrooms.  Children remain in playground areas until the bell rings.  Each homeroom is responsible for its own equipment.  Students are asked not to bring any equipment from home.   
 
ALL STUDENTS ARE ASKED TO...
• BE RESPECTFUL to the supervisors and follow their directions and discipline requests knowing that s/he has the delegated authority of the principal.
• BE RESPECTFUL/KIND to each other and include all children in planning & playing games.
• REPORT to the nearest supervisor any difficulties, misbehavior or accidents.
• LINE UP QUIETLY AND ORDERLY for entrance into the building when the bell rings.
• SHARE the use of playground equipment.
PERMITTED GAMES:  include: basketball, jump rope, four squares, playing catch with whiffleball, nerf ball, and rubber playground ball.


STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO...

• have food or gum on the playground
• tackle, wrestle, fight or use strong, aggressive actions
• "pretend fight"
• play contact sports or games
• use swings in other than a sitting position
• use bad language
• walk on the picnic tables, slides or crossbeams of equipment
• throw snow balls or play on patches of ice
• play near windows or throw/kick balls toward windows
• leave the playground without the permission of the supervisor
• come back into the building during recess without permission
