 - This letter will be in the parent packets to be distributed on July 17, 2007 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Dear Parents:
WELCOME! Whether it is "welcome" for the first time or "welcome back"; we are glad you are with us! We are all anxiously awaiting your children's arrival.
Enclosed you will find many important items:
•  A copy of our dress code.
•  A copy of our 2007 - 2008 Parent and Student Handbook
•  Within the Handbook ** Another copy of the School Supply List
                                       ** Full 2007 - 2008 School Calendar
** Pertinent data on everything from Honor Roll to Lunch costs
** Be sure to read thoroughly and keep it as a handy reference
There are several other forms that need your attention. Every year we must complete requests for Illinois Textbooks for our school to be eligible for this program. You will also find a new emergency form; these forms provide current data and help us to access information quickly when necessary. All of these forms can be returned via your children on July 24th.
The first day of school is July 24, 2007. We will begin at the regular time of 8:30 a.m. and dismiss at 11:00 a.m. July 25th will be our first full day of attendance. The 25th will be "opening day" for our breakfast and AfterCare programs. PreCare will begin on July 24th. Our PreSchool students will begin on Monday, July 30th.
Our school lunch price will be $1.40 per day of $7.00 per week. Breakfast will be $.60 per day or $3.00 per week. Regardless of how many days you plan for your children to eat during the week, we will need these fees prepaid on Mondays. Our computer lunch accounting program will "bank" paid fees until used.
Just a reminder, all students entering PreSchool for the first time, Kindergarten, and Grade Five, plus students new to the Illinois school system; are required by Illinois law to have a  physical examination and up-to-date immunizations. Blank health forms are available in the school office or generally at your doctor's office. All new students to Holy Family School will need a copy of their certified birth certificate on file.
Students, who plan to participate in extracurricular athletic programs, must have a sports physical on file prior to the beginning of practice.
Don't forget! If you have child-care needs before or after school, we have PreCare, Extended-Day and AfterCare to meet those needs. We can service your child from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on school days. If you need some additional information about these programs or have any other questions, please call 431-5108.
We are here to make this the best possible learning experience for your children. Open and regular communication is the key element in this process. The faculty and I look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,
Peggy L. Croy, Principal
