DRESS CODE
The importance of proper dress for
Holy Family School students cannot be over-stressed. The uniform and
the traditions it conveys demonstrate our commitment to quality in Catholic
education and the virtue of maintaining Christian modesty. It is an expression
of unity that eliminates materialistic competition and creates a sense of
belonging which strengthens our academic focus and discipline. The primary responsibility for complying with the dress code lies with the parent(s). The purpose of our dress code is to help the parents teach the students the appropriate choice of apparel for our learning environment. Plus, research has shown uniforms and a specific dress code improves the student’s self-image and hence their performance in school. Our dress code is developed as it contributes to the positive Christian image we hope our students portray. We must have your support and cooperation. We do not want to waste our faculty's valuable time and effort in dealing with dress code violations. We ask every parent to carefully read and adhere to the following regulations. The following dress code applies to K-8. Preschool is exempt. 1. No make-up is allowed. 2. Distractive jewelry is not acceptable—this includes dangling earrings. 3.
